Honestly, we are so lucky in this darn town! We are surrounded by so many awesome places that celebrate local, organic foods and really take advantage of our beautiful scenery. That is why we are so pleased to share Seaview Game Farm as this weeks Local Feature!
Seaview focuses on local sustainable meats and produce as well as farm tours and relaxing getaways to their well-appointed Yurt and RV sites. Here you can sample farm raised Venison and grass-fed beef or maybe stop into their store and grab a delicious pre made meal to fuel your daily adventures. In the summer, Seaview hosts a fantastic and informative farm tour. This is a must-do with your little ones (especially the trolley!) and a great idea for your child’s next birthday party.
We are also so excited to have Seaview Game Farm as one of the amazing sponsors of Deanna’s Annual Photo Contest! They are generously providing a one night stay in their cozy Yurt for the winner! Read a little more about Seaview Game Farm below:
Come and share the experience of life on the farm! We offer year round vacation rental in our Yurt, as well as camping in our serviced RV sites. Our Farm Tours run daily in the summer months, and our on site Farm Shop carries a full line of farm raised venison and grass-fed beef. We also produce seasonal vegetables and berries. From our commercial kitchen comes a variety of premade meals and preserves made with our meat and vegetables.
Our 800 sq. foot Yurt sleeps up to six guests, with all the comforts of home. Comforts include a fully equipped kitchen, large bathroom with jetted soaker tub, gas fireplace and so much more!
The Yurt sleeps up to six guests, with a king-sized bed in the master bedroom, two twins in the loft and a queen futon in the living room. All linens and towels are included. There is also a wrap-around deck with a BBQ and outdoor seating. Our outdoor fire pit is great for roasting marshmallows, sharing campfire stories and relaxing under the stars.
Seaview Game Farm is 168 acres of farm located on one mile of pristine waterfront located in Black Creek, British Columbia. Purchased by Paul Pfleger in 1973, it was transformed from a swampland and developed for hay, forage and crops. The intent of the farm was to build an environment where humans and animals coexisted in the grandest of environments. Over the years, barns, houses, greenhouses, retail space and oceanfront accommodations have been constructed. Today over 200 head of Fallow Deer, 25 grass-fed Highland Cattle, 40 laying hens, Goats, Alpacas, Horses, Llamas and a very happy pig all live on the farm. In the spring and summer months, fresh fruits and vegetables are grown. The farm store sells farm raised venison and grass-fed beef, free range eggs, fresh produce and specialty homemade products made with ingredients grown and raised right here on the farm.
The farm has a small shop, stocked with farm raised venison, grass-fed beef and seasonal vegetables. In addition to our meats and vegetables, we have also created a line of premade meals and preserves.
From May to September we offer fresh baking and speciality coffees.
The Farm Shop is open year round with limited hours in the winter months – see website for hours. Stop in for a visit, we’d love to see you!
